An Advanced Array Configuration Antenna Based on Mutual Coupling Reduction

In this work, a microstrip antenna array that consists of 16 elements is designed at frequency 28 GHz, with dimension 35 mm × 33.5 and an operational bandwidth 27.7–28.3 GHz. The idea putting two arrays next to each other on the same substrate ground plane, as well minimizing overall size. This work presents mutual coupling reduction for studies performance antennas through suppression surface wave propagation in given range. It proposed new configuration artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) created by technology placed closed distance (0.3?0) between arrays. improvement isolation adjacent was studied according H-plane periodic unit cell AMC. reduces ?40.0 dB operation 17 dB. also characterized good envelope correlation coefficient (ECC). CST Microwave Studio electromagnetic solver used design, improve, miniaturize configuration.
